NASEEM MITHOOWANI, BARRISTER & SOLICITOR
Naseem practices law through the Naseem Mithoowani Professional Corporation.
After attending Osgoode Hall Law School, Naseem was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008. Since 2010, she has practiced exclusively in the areas of immigration and refugee law at a prominent and internationally known law firm.
Naseem has appeared before all levels of the Immigration Division and Refugee Protection Division and regularly argues judicial review applications before the Federal Court. She practices in the areas of business immigration, personal immigration and administrative law.
Outside of her legal practice, Naseem is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she teaches immigration and refugee law.
In 2021, Naseem was appointed by the Federal Government to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, where she will serve as a part-time adjudicator for a 5 year term. She will undertake this new role alongside her existing practice.
Naseem has been named a top lawyer under 40 by Lexpert Magazine and a social change maker (2021) by The Peak magazine.
Naseem serves on the board of directors for Islamic Relief Canada and the Crescent Town Community Club. She also provides assistance as an advisory committee member for a national security hotline at the University of Toronto and the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society.

CLARISA WALDMAN, BARRISTER & SOLICITOR
Clarisa Waldman practices law through the Clarisa Waldman Professional Corporation.
Clarisa graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law in 2009 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2010 after completing her articles with the Legal Department of the Canadian Auto Workers. Clarisa received a Masters in International Affairs from Carleton University in 2011. Since 2010, she has practiced exclusively in the areas of immigration and refugee law at a prominent and internationally known law firm.
Clarisa appears regularly before the Federal Court of Canada. She has also assisted in cases before the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Clarisa has experience representing clients before all four Divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board in various matters including refugee hearings, refugee appeals, sponsorship appeals, removal order appeals, residency obligation appeals, and detention reviews. Her practice also involves helping clients in a wide range of immigration matters including applications for Criminal Rehabilitation, Work Permits, Temporary Resident Permits, and Permanent Residence Applications under various programs, including the Canadian Experience Class as well as Family Sponsorships.
