Canadian Immigration and refugee law
Mithoowani Waldman Immigration Law Group is a team of lawyers and consultants working in association in Toronto, providing services in all areas of Canadian immigration and refugee law. We believe in making the law easy to understand, working with you on every step of your matter and fighting for fairness on your behalf. We are women-led and LGBTQ+ friendly.
The immigration system can be intimidating. We will consider every part of your immigration issue and provide you with thorough legal advice - in plain language. Our team has extensive experience advocating for clients at all levels of the Canadian immigration and refugee system.
Book a consultation with us so that we can understand your needs better. During the consultation, we will provide initial advice and propose a plan of action. We provide representation to low income and LAO clients on a case by case basis.
The lawyers in our firm work in association with each other. That means our lawyers run their own practices and operate their own trust accounts. We may consult with each other on your file and disclose information about your matter while seeking feedback from our colleagues.
Where are you located?
Our office is located at 500 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 101 in Toronto, Ontario. Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions we ask that you book an appointment in advance before visiting our office in person.
Are you open during COVID-19?
We are open and working both remotely and in the office. Whenever possible, we are booking consultations and appointments over the phone or over Zoom. We will see clients in person only when an appointment has been scheduled. For clients who have booked appointments in the office, we ask that you arrive masked and disinfect your hands upon arrival.
Can I book a consultation if I'm overseas?
Yes. Please visit the "Contact Us" page with instructions on how to schedule a consultation.
Why do I need to book a consultation first?
A consultation allows us to meet with you and understand your legal problem better. Our consultations run for approximately one hour and conclude with a proposed plan of action on your matter. If both client and lawyer agree to continue working together, the lawyer will prepare an agreement for both of you to sign.
When should I expect a response?
We attempt to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours.
